The politician has been hospitalized since last Thursday, the 30th, when he suffered a sudden illness during a session in the Federal Senate.
The nursing technician had reported to the police that she was attacked by Malta with a slap in the face while trying to carry out an exam on the parliamentarian on Thursday. He denies it.
According to the professional’s report, Malta was preparing for an injection into the vein with contrast, a substance used in imaging tests, when there was an interruption in the procedure and the liquid leaked. Malta would have cursed and slapped the technician hard in the face, according to her.
The document filed by Malta says that the technique leaked the contrast into his arm, causing “intense pain, hematoma and possible vascular compromise”.
“Due to the clinical condition, the acute pain and the use of medication, the communicator presented a reaction compatible with the physical suffering experienced, without, however, carrying out any act of physical aggression against health professionals”, records Malta.

Then, the senator says he was surprised by the police report against him, in which the professional accuses him of physical aggression.
The senator says that there was no intentional conduct or deliberate aggression, “with a possible reaction resulting exclusively from the state of intense pain at the time of the medical incident”. The document asks the police to investigate the episode.
In a statement, DF Star Hospital reported that it had initiated an administrative investigation into the episode and that it has been providing “full support to the employee who reported having been a victim of aggression”. He also said he was available to provide all necessary clarifications to the police.
The Regional Nursing Council of the Federal District (Coren-DF) also repudiated the event.
“The performance of these professionals cannot be marked by episodes of violence. No position or condition authorizes aggression, and all conduct of this nature must be treated with the rigor of the law. The violence suffered by health workers in the exercise of their duties exceeds any acceptable limit and highlights a problem that cannot be treated as a one-off,” he said.
Magno Malta released a statement denying aggression and reinforcing that there was a technical flaw in the procedure to which he was subjected, “even after he warned, on several occasions, to those present, that the procedure was incorrect and caused him severe pain”.

In the note, he also pointed out that “it is strange that the professional involved sought to record her own version of the facts, in an evident defensive attitude towards the possibility of being held responsible for the serious incident”, he said.
On Friday, the 1st, the parliamentarian recorded a video from inside the hospital for social media asking his supporters not to fall for fake news. In this video, he shows a doctor apologizing and saying that the case will be investigated.
