The night Flávio scored goals and sent a message to October

On the eve of his birthday and hours after the Senate gave the first defeat of a nominee to the STF in 132 years, Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) went to the four lines

The senator and presidential candidate recorded and released excerpts from a football game with parliamentarians allies on Wednesday night (29) and used the images to draw a direct parallel with the October electoral dispute. “They’re going to want to chase me on the field with my skills, but it won’t work,” he said in one of the videos, before adding: “It gave me a hard time inside the box. I scored three goals. Just like we’ll have in October, to rescue this Brazil.”

Flávio decided to invite deputies and senators to the meeting he had barbecue, cake and messages for the elections.

“We call here the parliamentarians, our base, allied people who are there every day in the National Congress, who are fighting for the Brazilian people. There is no way we can lose”, he stated when celebrating the goals.

The scene illustrates Flávio’s moment well. The senator has been betting on a lighter pre-campaign, with younger and more relaxed communication, and carefully cultivating relationships with parliamentarians, a point where Lula has stumbled. Hi the most recent portrait of a government that has lost its articulation and is now increasingly ignored by Congress.
