Federal deputy Jilmar Tatto (SP) was appointed coordinator of the Electoral Working Group, replacing J who had to leave the role after being appointed by the Minister of Institutional Relations.
The GTE is a strategic body, as it is responsible for defining the party’s electoral tactics in the states, including defining candidates and alliance policy. Its recommendations must be endorsed by the National Executive.

In the case of Goiás, the name highlighted as the strongest to contest the government is that of deputy Adriana Accorsi, but she prefers to seek a new parliamentary mandate.
In Minas Gerais, the platform would be held by senator Rodrigo Pacheco (PSB), but the government’s relationship with him was shaken after the rejection of Jorge Messias’s name for the Federal Supreme Court. The PT is now looking for a plan B in the state.
