Why Austria doesn’t need new houses, but better uses

The best house is the one not built. Because there are enough buildings in Austria, new living or working space would not actually be necessary in many places. Nevertheless, construction continues on greenfield sites. As soon as more space is needed, a new building is often the first impulse and for many also the only viable option – with consequences for land consumption and resources. But some players in the industry are questioning this logic.
