Zema says that, unlike Flávio Bolsonaro, ‘he has no tail tied to anyone’

Pre-candidate for the Presidency of the Republic for Novo, Romeu Zema, former governor of Minas Gerais, seeks to distance himself from an association with senator Flávio Bolsonaro, who will run for Planalto for PL.

At an event with businesspeople in Rio de Janeiro this Thursday morning, the 7th, the Minas Gerais native reinforced the differences and stated that “unlike Flávio Bolsonaro”, he “doesn’t have his tail tied to anyone”.

“I have been questioning, criticizing the Supreme Court a lot. It seems to me that there are a lot of people from the PL who have restrictions on this criticism, because there are things pending there at the Supreme Court. The Novo Party parliamentarians and I don’t have our tails tied up with anyone. We are a small party, but a coherent, differentiated party, of those with a clean record”, stated Zema.

Asked if he would give up his candidacy for Planalto to support Flávio Bolsonaro, the former governor of Minas avoided a definitive answer, saying that it is still “unknown to a large part of Brazilians” and that this situation tends to change on the eve of the election.

“I am still unknown to most Brazilians, but as I travel around Brazil, showing the proposals I have, I am sure that this situation will tend to change. I am an alternative to polarization”, he said.
