Singer Bonnie Tyler, 74, known for the hit Total Eclipse Of The Heartwas placed in a medically induced coma after undergoing emergency surgery. The information was confirmed by the British newspaper The Guardian this Thursday, 7th.
According to the newspaper, Bonnie was rushed to a hospital in Faro, Portugal. She underwent an intestinal procedure and, according to a statement released by a spokesperson, the coma was induced to aid the singer’s recovery. “We know you all wish her the best and we ask for privacy at this difficult time,” the statement read.
Bonnie is a big name in 1980s music. Total Eclipse Of The Heartshe is also known for tracks such as Holding Out For A Hero e It’s A Heartache. In 2023, the singer was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for her services to music.
