“I never imagined I would get divorced. It was completely out of my plans. I was devastated. I had been married for so long… I didn’t know any different,” Tish said.

“I think at that time it was almost like medicine for me — because I’m a big believer in plant medicine — and I think probably during the period when I lost my mother and my marriage ended, it was like a form of self-medication, and I didn’t even realize I was doing it for that reason,” she said.
When Tish decided to stop using the drug and seek professional help. According to her, entering therapy was “a turning point” in her life.
“When I started therapy and really started talking about my life, my move here, my kids in business and what my life had been like, they were amazed,” she continued.

“For me, the hardest part was actually getting my brain to focus on how things had gotten, how things were, instead of how they should or could be. The fantasy, when, after all, what is your reality? That was the hardest part for me,” she reinforced.
