The leader of the Novo party also stated that the party, as an affiliate of the PL, will work in favor of Zema and Flávio Bolsonaro
Former federal deputy and leader of the Novo party, Deltan Dallagnol (Novo), said in an interview with Young Pan this Tuesday (12) that there is no room for a right-wing second path with presidential pre-candidate Romeu Zema. “Zema is an excellent person, but we have to be realistic. In the current polarized scenario there is no room for a third way, not even a right-wing second way like Zema.”
According to Dallagnol, the electoral race should be between President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) and Flávio Bolsonaro (PL). “The election will be, everything indicates, between Lula and Flávio Bolsonaro. Zema himself has already said this, that he will join Flávio Bolsonaro, the (right-wing) candidate who reaches the second round, or perhaps even a union in the first round in which he will be a pre-candidate for Flávio Bolsonaro’s vice president”, stated the former deputy.
The leader of the Novo party also stated that there is an alignment of vision in which former president Jair Bolsonaro himself said “on more than one occasion that he finds it healthy and important” that there are more pre-candidates on the right.
This is because, according to Dallagnol, Flávio Bolsonaro would hardly be able to win the votes of Minas Gerais like Zema can. “He manages to carry votes even from people who would vote for the PT, but who prefer Zema because he is from Minas Gerais, knows him and his management”, said Deltan Dallagnol.
Finally, Dallagnol said that Novo, as a party linked to the PL, will work in favor of both Romeu Zema and Flávio Bolsonaro for the presidential elections.
