Audio with Vorcaro shakes Flávio Bolsonaro and shakes the right – 05/14/2026 – Marcos Augusto Gonçalves

The revelation of an audio in which to save the financing of his father’s biopic came like an earthquake. The scoop from the Intercept website affected not only the senator’s candidacy, but the right’s own perspective on the presidential election.

The shock suffered by Flávio takes Lula out of the grip caused by the rejection of Jorge Messias, his candidate for the STF. The PT member breathes a sigh of relief. If the recent round of the Quaest survey had already signaled a slight recovery against the growing opponent, now the sky has cleared.

The other side of the coin is that the left-wing camp considers Flávio to be the ideal competitor, as he is notoriously incompetent, with no experience in public management, with a long history of suspicious activities and relationships with criminals. Now, he could, in theory, be exchanged for someone more capable. But who? Tarcisio de Freitas, the establishment’s dream candidate and the most feared by the PT, has already missed the official deadline to step aside and run, just like Ratinho Jr.

Romeu Zema and Ronaldo Caiado are unlikely to be protagonists, but they will do their best in search of more projection in the dispute.

The task of replacing the senator, if that can actually happen, will also face the reality that the scandal mainly involves characters on the right, whether they are from the center or from Bolsonarism. The operation last week, which was head of Jair Bolsonaro’s Civil House, served as a reminder.

Any more drastic change will still have to come from or count on the blessing of Jair Bolsonaro. For now, the most likely thing is to leave it alone and see how it goes.

It is also not out of the question that names linked to the PT and the president appear in the PF investigations or in a possible denunciation of Vorcaro. But it is impossible, in any case, to imagine the president asking the banker for favors and calling him “brother.”

It is known that Vorcaro certainly paid for the production of “Dark Horse”, a film cunningly designed to get Bolsonaro, his father, now in prison, to participate indirectly in the electoral campaign. The news, however, is that the negotiation between the family and the banker went far beyond that amount. It involved the usual suspicious funds linked to the Master — and it is not certain that it was just about financing a film.

In a country like Brazil, the few months until the campaign starts and heats up can be a long time. The dispute will certainly be tight. The territory is mined, and new explosions are expected to happen.

Finally, it is worth remembering that the so-called “Flávio day” showed — as if it wasn’t already obvious — which side the financial market is on, always inclined to take irresponsible rides to defeat Lula. The tremor made it clear that the great setup to try to transform a cool, moderate and fiscal adjustment-friendly candidate, although it was already unlikely, became practically impossible. It remains to be seen where Faria Lima will head. Either disembark from the pup or move on in the leaky canoe.
