Former minister, now affiliated with the PSDB, called the state’s current rulers “lax” and cited Roberto Cláudio as vice president
This Saturday (May 16, 2026), the PSDB launched the former minister’s pre-candidacy to the government of Ceará. The political event was held at the Evandro Ayres de Moura Educational Center, in Fortaleza (CE). The ceremony was scheduled for 9 am, but the pre-candidate arrived at the location at 11:20 am.
In his speech, Ciro classified the current governors of the State as “loose” and argued that Ceará “it must be governed by the people of Ceará”. He also claimed to be “loyal and grateful” to the region.
The former minister declared that he will invite the former mayor of Fortaleza (União Brasil) to join the ticket as vice-governor – the alliance is still awaiting party confirmation. Ciro also anticipated that the former deputy (União Brasil) will be the group’s candidate for the Senate.
