Starmer versus Burnham: Power struggle within Labor could become Waterloo for the British


The heart of power in the United Kingdom beats in the London House of Commons. When a conservative wanted to return as mayor of the capital in 2015 after two terms, he applied for a mandate in the parliamentary election and won – against the will of the party leadership. This man was Boris Johnson and he was a failure as Prime Minister. But at least he demonstrated strategic thinking with his return to the House of Commons: Only those who stand on the pitch can fight for power.
