Examination carried out by Santos’ number 10 revealed a moderate injury to the right calf

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) spoke out this Wednesday (20) about Neymar’s injury and said it will evaluate the player in Teresópolis. In a note sent to Jovem Pan, the entity informed that it “constantly receives reports and evaluations of all the athletes called up, however, they will only be evaluated by the Brazilian National Team’s medical team after the official presentation”. According to the entity, until the presentation to the National Team, the only person who can provide information about the athletes’ health status is the athlete’s own club.

An examination carried out by the athlete revealed a moderate injury to his right calf.

Jovem Pan contacted Santos, but, until the publication of this article, there had still been no response. The space remains open for positioning.

Neymar was called up to the Brazilian team on Monday (18), when Italian coach, Carlo Ancelotti, released the list of 26 players who will represent Brazil in the World Cup, which starts on June 11. Brazil debuts on the 13th.

Santos’ number 10 is heading to his fourth World Cup. The call-up marks his return to the national team after almost 3 years.
