This Wednesday, May 20th, another ‘Passadeira Vermelha’ aired, a program on SIC Caras led by Liliana Campos.
One of the topics highlighted was Nuno Markl’s post on social media, where he marked six months since he suffered a stroke, and the presenter took the opportunity to clarify the comedian’s hospitalization.
“The other day, I said here that, thank God, Nuno had great, great support from the company. And then, all the smart people came right away to say that there is Social Security”he began by saying.
Liliana Campos then went to the camera and reinforced: “But no, Nuno is not on Social Security. The company is paying for Nuno’s treatments, so that he can recover, because Nuno’s situation is not like that of most people who are employed. He continues to receive his salary, but he provides services, he is independent, and the company has not abandoned him”.
“So, not all companies do this. Of course it is due to the person he is, the value he has for the company, but also due to the good people who are managing that company, for whom Nuno is not a number. This has nothing to do with Social Security, of course we are all entitled to Social Security, but it is not with Social Security money that we are going to pay for a center like this”he concluded.
