A 30-year-old woman was attacked by a man with a whip in broad daylight in front of a bar in the Palmital neighborhood, in Santa Luzia, metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte, last Monday (18). THE A 34-year-old man fled after the attacks. He was identified and is being sought, but his name has not been released.

He delivers the lashes while shouting at her. At least ten people, including a child, were present at the attack. Nobody intervened in the situation.
Sought by Estadão, the Civil Police of Minas Gerais reported that they opened an investigation into the case. “The investigations continue with the 1st Civil Police Station of the municipality to clarify the facts and the PCMG advises that the victim appears at the police unit for the appropriate legal measures”, he said, in a note.
On social media, Minas Gerais state deputy Delegado Christiano Xavier, who is a former mayor of Santa Luzia, published the video of the attacks and stated that the woman was also attacked by another man inside the bar soon after so that he would not report the attacks. He also said that she was with her daughter who is just over 1 year old. The police, however, did not provide details about the case.
