The President of the United States, Donald Trump, retreated once again and admitted, this Sunday (24), that the agreement with Iran has not yet been concluded. The statement contrasts with the tone adopted the day before, when he stated that an understanding was “largely negotiated”.
“No one has seen it, no one knows what it is. It hasn’t even been fully negotiated yet,” Trump wrote in a new post on the Truth Social network, referring to the potential agreement with Tehran.
The post comes shortly after , with Iranian commitment to dispose of its stockpile of highly enriched uranium. Iran has not publicly confirmed any understanding.
The president used the publication to refute criticism of the process. “Don’t listen to the losers, who criticize something they know nothing about,” he said, without identifying the targets of the criticism.
Trump reiterated attacks on the nuclear deal reached by the Barack Obama administration in 2015, calling it an understanding that would have given Iran “massive amounts of money” and “a clear and open path to a nuclear weapon.” Regarding the ongoing negotiations, the president once again stated that the result would be “the exact opposite”, but acknowledged that the terms are not yet public.
“If I make a deal with Iran, it will be a good and proper deal,” Trump wrote, adding at the end: “I don’t make bad deals.”

Trump’s statement comes amid signs of tension on the Iranian side. According to Al Jazeera, an Iranian source stated that Tehran identifies signs of American retreat on two central points: the mechanism for unfreezing Iranian assets and the scope of the ceasefire in Lebanon. .
Meanwhile, new Israeli attacks were reported in the city of Arab Salim, Lebanon, killing at least two people and wounding 10 others. The attack followed another airstrike that “destroyed” the civil defense center in the city of Nabatieh, health officials said.
