WHO reports more than 900 suspected cases of Ebola in Congo


Kinshasa/Bunia/Kampala – After the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo, health authorities are recording a further increase in infections. More than 900 suspected cases have now been registered, said the head of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, on Sunday. These include 101 confirmed illnesses. It was only on Friday that the WHO raised the risk of national spread of the virus in Congo to the “very high” level.
