3 days of problems for those who travel by train, next week

Several unions associated with CP joined the general strike on June 3rd. In this case, the disturbances do not end for that day.

A general strike on June 3rd promises to affect many services and thousands or millions of Portuguese people.

One of the most recent – ​​and delicate – cases is that of doctors. The National Federation of Doctors (FNAM) that adheres to the strike.

The strike affects all doctors in the public, social and private sectors. And it is also a response to the labor law that the Government wants to implement. It is an “unprecedented labor setback”, analyzes the FNAM.

In fact, this is the basis for this, which was already announced on May 1st by the CGTP – General Confederation of Portuguese Workers.

Many teachers must also miss work. The National Federation of Teachers (Fenprof) also joined the strike. And: the Government has said that the labor law proposal that will be voted on by deputies is far from the initial proposal; “Nothing more false!”

Now, it’s the CP – Trens de Portugal which warns that there must also be (many) problems for those who travel by train.

Several unions joined the strike: SFRCI, SMAQ, ASCEF, ASSIFECO, FECTRANS/SNTSF, FENTCOP, SINDEFER, SINFA, SINFB, SINTTI, SIOFA, STF and SNAQ.

Therefore, CP informs in a statement, disruptions to train circulation are expected, “with possible impacts also on the previous and following day”.

That is, there must be train failures on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, between the 2nd and 4th of June.

And there is still no guarantee of minimum services. If there are minimal services, the information will be updated by the company.
