Those called up by Carlo Ancelotti to defend the Brazilian team at the 2026 World Cup started the presentation at Granja ComaryBrazil’s training center in Teresópolis (RJ), officially starting the journey towards Hexa. The on-site training period starts this Wednesday (27th) and runs until May 30th, on Saturday.
Casemiro was the first to present himself, this Tuesday (26) night. This morning, goalkeeper Alisson, defenders Bremer, Ibãnez and Léo Pereira, midfielder Danilo and attackers Luiz Henrique, Endrick, Igor Thiago and Rayan arrived at the camp. Ancelotti also arrived at the scene this Wednesday.
Goalkeeper Léo Nannetti, from Flamengo’s under-20s, was called up to participate in the entire preparation stage, including in the United States, and is another one who is already there. Midfielder Felipe Souza, from Botafogo, and defender Bruno Ribeiro, from Vasco da Gama, both juniors, were also called to train at Granja.
All players will go through medical evaluations and, in the afternoon, start training. To ensure that those called up are available to Ancelotti, the CBF chartered helicopters to take them to Granja.
Gabriel Magalhães, Gabriel Martinelli and Marquinhos, who will compete in the Champions League final between Arsenal and PSG on Saturday, at Puskás Aréna, in Hungary, will not participate in the activities in Teresópolis. The athletes will even miss the friendly against Panama, on Sunday (31), at Maracanã. They perform on June 1st, directly in the USA.
Neymar, with edema in his calf, is in recovery and he is another who will only appear for the national team on American soil.
The team’s last friendly before the World Cup will be against Egypt, on June 6, at Huntington Bank Field, in Cleveland (USA). The World Cup debut is scheduled for June 13th, against Morocco. Brazil still faces Scotland and Haiti in the group stage.
