Brazil began, this Wednesday (27), the first training session with the ball in preparation for the 2026 World Cup. The activity took place at the Granja Comary CT, in Teresópolis, and was not attended by striker Neymar, who underwent a series of tests outside the venue.
He has a calf injury, diagnosed by Santos shortly after the clash against Coritiba on May 17th, valid for the 16th round of the Brasileirão. According to Rodrigo Zogaib, coordinator of the São Paulo team’s Health Center, the 34-year-old player has two millimeters of edema.
In an official statement, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) reported that the attacker did not participate in the training session with the aim of carrying out “complementary tests” at a clinic in the city of Teresópolis, outside the complex used by Brazil.
