Forget the classics: This cheeseburger pasta is full of protein and will keep you full for a long time!

We make pasta in hundreds of ways, but have you ever tried making it cheeseburger style? Yes, you read that right: this pasta with meat and cheese will appeal to anyone who likes burgers, and it’s also very easy to prepare, since you can make it in one pan. Fussilli alla Cheeseburger is a viral recipe that has also won over men, because they keep you full for a longer time and, thanks to the ground beef, they are also a great source of protein.

For these fusilli alla cheeseburger you will need the following ingredients:

  • 1 PL olive oil
  • 1 large onion
  • 500 g ground beef
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 PL Worcestershire sauce
  • 500 ml warm beef broth
  • 300 g fusilli or other pasta according to preferences
  • 100 ml milk
  • 125 g grated cheddar
  • 1 PL mustard
  • 1 PL ketchup
  • 50-70 g pickled cucumbers
  • jalapenos for serving

In a large pot with a lid, heat the oil over medium heat. Fry the onion for 3 minutes, then add the mince and cook for a further 5 minutes until lightly browned. Add the tomatoes and Worcestershire sauce and cook for 2 minutes until the tomatoes soften and begin to soften. Pour in the stock and bring to a boil. Stir in the pasta, cover and cook for 10-12 minutes, until the pasta is tender and the liquid is mostly absorbed. Add a little water if needed.

Pour milk and stir in 100 g of cheese. Stir until melted. Season if necessary and transfer to a serving bowl or bowls. Drizzle with mustard and ketchup, then sprinkle with remaining cheese, pickles, jalapeños and ground black pepper. Serve with ketchup.
