Henry case: Jairinho’s ex-stepdaughter reports drownings and attacks on jury

O II Jury Court of Rio de Janeiro heard, this Thursday (28), the testimony of one ex-stepdaughter of Jairo Souza Santos Junioro Dr. Jairinho. The witness reported episodes of physical aggression and going to places that appeared to be motels when he was between 3 and 4 years old.

Now 18 years old, the former stepdaughter detailed that the former councilman used to go out alone with her to places that appeared to be motels. On one of the occasions, she stated that the defendant took her to a swimming pool and subjected her to successive drownings.

According to the report, Jairinho used psychological manipulation by asking the child not to tell his mother the facts, claiming that it would make her sad.

The witness described that he developed physical reactions of terror, going so far as to hide and vomit whenever his ex-stepfather’s car arrived at the residence.

She stated that she decided to denounce the episodes after Henry Borel’s death gained national attention, motivated by a feeling of guilt.

The young woman’s mother ended the relationship with the defendant when the witness was around 7 years old.

The schedule for the fourth day of the trial also includes hearings from other former companions of Jairinho, who also reported aggressive behavior by the former parliamentarian in previous investigations.

The former councilor and Monique Medeirosmother of the victim, are responsible for the crimes of triple homicidetorture, coercion during the process and procedural fraud.

The accusation, based on the report of the Medical-Legal Institute (IML)maintains that Henry died due to 23 injuries caused by blunt action while in the apartment with the couple.
