Vienna’s Mayor Michael Ludwig (SPÖ) and the President of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce, Walter Ruck, met Pope Leo XIV on Wednesday as part of the general audience in the Vatican. After the audience on St. Peter’s Square, Ludwig and Ruck were able to personally greet the Pope and briefly exchange ideas with him. As a guest gift, Ludwig presented the Pope with Lobmeyr glasses with St. Stephen’s Cathedral and the town hall. Ludwig invited the Pope to visit Vienna.
