The Norwegian heir to the throne, Crown Prince Haakon, on Tuesday expressed concern about the health of his wife Mette-Marit, who suffers from a chronic lung disease – pulmonary fibrosis. TASR informs about it according to the report of the DPA agency.
“The Crown Princess is seriously ill and her health has deteriorated significantly recently. I am worried about her,” said Haakon in Oslo. The prince added that his wife uses oxygen support daily, which is partially helping her. Recently, she has appeared in public several times with an oxygen device. “We have to deal with it as best we can,” said the Norwegian heir to the throne.
The King and Queen of Norway are also not in the best of health. Queen Sonja (88) suffers from heart arrhythmia and her 89-year-old husband Harald also struggles with recurring health problems. “It is admirable how the King and Queen continue to fulfill their official duties,” said the prince.
