In the cadastre of the village of Ivachnová in the district of Ružomberok on Friday in the afternoon the forest is on fire. The area affected by the fire is approximately 2.4 hectares. A drone operator and fire cause investigator were called to the scene. This was confirmed for TASR by the spokeswoman of the Regional Directorate of the Fire and Rescue Service (HaZZ) in Žilina, Mária Pohanková Zahatlanová.
The forest fire was reported on Friday after 2:00 p.m. “23 HaZZ members from the fire stations in Ružomberok, Liptovský Mikuláš, Martina and Žilina and members of the volunteer fire brigades of the municipalities of Ivachnová, Vyšný Sliač, Stredný Sliač, Nižný Sliač, Liptovská Teplá and Partizánska Ľupča intervene on the spot,” specified the spokeswoman.
