Is Flávio Bolsonaro a terrorist? – 05/30/2026 – Celso Rocha de Barros

is an ally of , former president of the Legislative Assembly of . A considers Bacellar “the one of”.

In other words: if the American State Department is right, Flávio is an ally of an important terrorist leader.

Flávio Bolsonaro also owns the .

The Master had such close relations with Reag Investimentos, accused of laundering money from , that, according to this article Sheet of August 28, 2025, .

In other words, if the American State Department is right, Flávio Bolsonaro earned an inexplicable R$60 million from a member of the group that laundered money from the terrorist group PCC.

I disagree with the American State Department: although the CV and the PCC do maintain a reign of terror in the territories they occupy, this is different from what the , or what the Irish IRA did: CV and PCC have no political or ideological objectives.

The only really good argument in favor of the new definition proposed by the American State Department is precisely the set of suspicious links between the CV, the PCC and Bolsonarism.

After all, Bolsonarism carried out the only undisputed terrorist attack in our recent history: the attempt on Christmas Eve 2022, carried out by a former advisor to Damares Alves’ ministry and an accomplice. One of the terrorists was even in Congress on November 30, 2022, when the Bolsonaro bench met to call for a coup d’état.

The Christmas Eve attack fits much better into the traditional definition of terrorism than the barbarities perpetrated by CV and PCC. The terrorists in Brasília sought, through violent methods aimed at the civilian population, to create a climate of chaos that would lead to the military joining the attempted coup d’état led by .

Flávio Bolsonaro is the heir to the leadership of the movement that carried out the Christmas Eve attack in 2022. Even so, I am generous enough to hesitate before calling Flávio Bolsonaro a terrorist.

What remains to be investigated is whether Flávio and other Bolsonaro leaders are common criminals, like those from the CV or the PCC.

The new discoveries by the Federal Police show that what was stolen by the Bolsonaro government of Rio de Janeiro and transferred to the Banco Master gang amounted to almost R$4 billion. Just last week, an agreement was made to close a R$6.5 billion gap in the BRB that the Bolsonarista government of the Federal District gave to Master.

I disagree with those who think that Flávio Bolsonaro, the CV and the PCC are terrorists, but I respect the arguments of those who think they are.

What is indisputable is that we cannot let Flávio use this controversy to stifle a scandal that took a minimum of R$10 billion from public coffers administered by Bolsonaro supporters that could have been used to train and pay the salary of a police officer to patrol the street where you live.

Instead, it was spent on ordeals from right-wing politicians, whiskey at a US$1 million event and Bolsonaro’s film.
