João Fonseca takes the court this Sunday (31), to face Norwegian Casper Ruud, in a match valid for the fourth round of Roland Garros. The game will have an illustrious presence in the stands: Guga, a former tennis player and big name in the sport in Brazil, will follow the match in person.
Former world number one, the 49-year-old from Santa Catarina has a successful history in the French Grand Slam, where he won three titles (1997, 2000 and 2001). He retired in 2008, in a duel against Frenchman Paul-Henri Mathieu.
Now, Guga supports Fonseca, the main Brazilian tennis player on the men’s circuit. In the previous round, the former athlete was caught accompanying , last Friday (29), at an airport.
Guga watched João Fonseca’s match against Novak Djokovic from the airport.

João Fonseca and Ruud will face each other no earlier than 3:15 pm (Brasília time), on the Philippe-Chatrier court, the main court at Roland Garros. Whoever wins the match will face the winner of the match between Czech Jakub Mensik and Russian Andrey Rublev.
