Viveros scores at the end and Athletico-PR beats Mirassol in the Brasileirão

Athletico-PR beat Mirassol 1-0, this Saturday (30), at Arena da Baixada, in a duel valid for the 18th round of Série A of the Brasileirão. Viveros scored Furacão’s goal in the final stretch of the game, guaranteeing the home team’s triumph.

With the result, Athletico is in a good position in the general table during the Brazilian football break for the . Coach Odair Hellmann’s team occupies fourth place, with 30 points.

On the other hand, the team continues to be in a delicate situation in the national league. Leão is within the relegation zone, in 18th place, with 16 points.

The two teams only return to play after the World Cup break. Athletico-PR will have as its opponent the , at home. Mirassol, on the other hand, faces Red Bull Bragantino, also at home.

First half marked by balance

The first half was very balanced between the teams. Leão tried to explore the sides of the field with Alesson and Carlos Eduardo, but lacked effectiveness in finishing. The home team concentrated its offensive actions on Viveros, the main reference of the attack.
