The Brazilian delegation’s plane took off at 11:02 pm this Monday (1st) from Tom Jobim International Airport (Galeão), in Rio de Janeiro, heading to the United States, where it will try to win the sixth world football championship.
After the 6-2 defeat of Panama, in the friendly on Sunday (31), the squad took time off and re-introduced themselves to coach Carlo Ancelotti on Monday afternoon at a hotel in Barra da Tijuca, southwest of Rio. What has already been decided is the friendly against the Egyptian team, next Saturday (6), in Cleveland, at 7pm (Brasília time). It will be the last opportunity for the coach to test the starting team that will debut in the World Cup against Morocco, on the 13th, in East Rutherford, on the outskirts of New Jersey.
The team is in Group C, which also brings together Haiti and Scotland. The clash against the Caribbean team will be on the 19th, at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), at Lincoln Financial Field, in the city of Philadelphia. The last duel of the first phase will be on the 24th, at 7pm (Brasília time), against the Scots at the Hard Rock Stadium, in Miami.
