‘The country is going through a great spiritual war’, says Flávio Bolsonaro
The pre-candidate for the Presidency of the Republic for the PL and senator Flávio Bolsonaro participates in the 34th edition of the March for Jesus this Thursday (4) in the capital of São Paulo, alongside the governor of São Paulo and pre-candidate for re-election, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), from the city mayor, Ricardo Nunes (MDB), from the minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) André Mendonça and the Advocate General of the Union, Jorge Messias.
The politician said during the event that “the world and Brazil are going through a great spiritual war“. The statement was made at the March for Jesus. Flávio said he was at the event in São Paulo to recharge his energy and “pray for the country’s families.”
The governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), sang alongside the apostle Estevam Hernandes Filho, from the Renascer em Cristo church. On the same stage, Messiah stated during the broadcast of the event that “Jesus’ table is for Jews and Gentiles”, stating that even Judas sat at Christ’s table, without segregation.
The march started from Estação da Luz, in the center of São Paulo, and heads towards Praça Herois da FEB, close to Campo de Marte, in the north of the capital. According to the organization of the event, participants were registered 23 thousand caravans to participate in the event, which features eight electric trios.
Flávio denies ‘climb’
Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) denied there was a “climb” in the electric trio reserved for authorities at the March for Jesusin São Paulo. Flávio shares the electric trio with the attorney general of the Union of the government of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), minister Jorge Messias.
“This is not a political movement, I am here because I am an evangelical Christian. (…) There is no ‘climate’ here, we are here for my purpose, which is God in charge”, he said.
In a quick speech to journalists, Flávio once again said that his family is the victim of persecution and that this was being experienced by Brazilians. When accusing the government of alleged censorship, the senator stated that the March for Jesus, which gathers faithful in the northern part of the capital of São Paulo, would be “irritating a lot of people there”.
Flávio was also asked about the impact of the dialogues revealed last month by The Intercept, which show the owner of Banco Master, to finance the film “Dark Horse”, which pays homage to his father, former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL). The senator said he was “a correct person” and deviated from the subject by attacking the Lula government and the PT leadership in Bahia.
“I’m a correct person, we did everything to make a film in honor of my father, who is a guy who deserves to have his story told in a big production that will be ready and, soon, everyone will see it. Now, the Lula government still has to explain a lot why it held secret meetings to try to benefit someone. In particular, Bahia has a lot to explain because that’s where it all started”, he stated.
Flávio was also asked about his relationship with the governor of the State of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas, and stated that the politician is his “ally and friend”. “He’s a great governor,” he added. When asked about having had the opportunity to talk to his ally, he stated that his visit to São Paulo this Thursday was his first opportunity to be with the governor and mayor Ricardo Nunes.
Flávio participates in the 34th edition of the March for Jesus, in the capital of São Paulo. The Minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) André Mendonça is also present. According to the event organizers, 23 thousand caravans were registered to participate in the event, which will feature 8 electric trios.
Also participating in the event are federal deputy Sostenes Cavalcante, the president of the Legislative Assembly of the State of São Paulo, André do Prado, and state deputy Lucas Bove.
