In his message, which was read publicly in Tehran, Khamenei stressed that Iran’s adversaries seek to erode the morale of society by spreading fear, uncertainty and mistrust among citizens.

The reason for the Mojtaba message
The statement was released on the occasion of a ceremony marking the 37th anniversary of the death of the founder of the Islamic Republic at the mausoleum of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. The ceremony was attended by thousands of regime supporters, who carried Iranian flags as well as Hezbollah banners.
Mojtaba Khamenei assumed supreme leadership of the country in early March, following the death of his father, Ali Khamenei, during the Israeli-American attack on Iran.
Since taking office, the new supreme leader has not made a public appearance, with his interventions being made exclusively through written announcements read by his representatives.
