Victim was 18 years old; 11-year-old child is among the injured
A shooting attack that occurred after a graduation ceremony on Wednesday (3), at a high school in Northern California, left one teenager dead and three other people injuredauthorities reported.

The incident occurred in the parking lot of Fairfield High School, located about 50 miles northwest of San Francisco.
Police received an alert about the incident around 7:15 p.m. (11:15 p.m. EDT), Fairfield Police Officer Michelle Belyea said during a news conference. “There are four gunshot victims,” she noted.
A fatal victim was an 18 year oldwhile the injured are 11, 20 and 25 years old, respectively, according to the police, who did not provide details about their health status.
A man who attended the ceremony told local broadcaster KCRA that he heard gunshots while people were taking photos in the school parking lot.
Amanda Prieto, a nearby resident, told the same press outlet that she saw people “screaming and running” around the region as gunshots rang out.
Belyea said there is an “active investigation” into the attack and that there is no ongoing threat to the community, without providing details about the suspect.
