The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) confirmed the injury to Wesley’s left thigh, suffered during the Brazil’s 2-1 victory over Egypt this Saturday (6).
“The CBF informs that the athlete Wesley was re-evaluated this Sunday by the Brazilian National Team’s medical committee and underwent an imaging examination. The magnetic resonance imaging revealed a muscle injury to the adductor muscle of his left thigh”, he began.
“The CBF regrets the injury. Wesley is an athlete loved by the group and will always be considered part of this team that seeks a sixth world championship. In light of the diagnosis, the CBF announces that he will join the delegation this Monday, in the United States”, the entity announced.
