Washington – The US Congress has approved billions in funding that the government of US President Donald Trump can use to implement its controversial migration policy. After passing the Senate, a corresponding bill narrowly passed the House of Representatives with a vote of 214 to 212. The draft provides almost 70 billion US dollars (60.6 billion euros) for financing, among other things, the immigration authorities ICE and the border protection authority CBP until 2029.
