Five Indian Air Force personnel died when a transport aircraft crashed during a routine training flight in the northeastern state of Assam, authorities said on Saturday (13).
The AN-32 transport aircraft crashed near the Jorhat area of Assam, the Indian Air Force said in a statement published on X.

This is the second plane crash in the region in the last two months. In March, two Indian Air Force pilots were killed when a Sukhoi Su-30MKI fighter jet crashed during a routine training mission also in Assam.
