In the last few days, a wave of storms hit Europe, which brought accompanying phenomena causing material damage to our territory. However, calmer weather is waiting for the whole of Europe after they subside. Storms are quickly replaced by an influx of warm air. From the south, the high pressure will begin to strengthen and expand, which will settle over the Alpine region, informs .
On its western side, hot air will flow into the interior of Europe. This current will heat the air to even higher values than what we experienced during the first heat wave at the end of May. In some areas of Europe, temperatures rise above 40 °C. At the same time, extreme heat will also affect Slovakia.
“Strong heat will bring the highest temperatures to Slovakia since the beginning of the year. In the warmest regions of Slovakia, temperatures could reach 38 °C. The heat wave will start in Europe at the beginning of the week, but it will not reach Slovakia until the second half of the week,” he adds in another forecast.
According to the updated forecast, we should record the first tropical day in our territory on Thursday. Temperatures will rise to 27 to 32 °C. It will be warmer on Friday, when they can attack the 35 °C mark. The strongest heat will come during the weekend – it will reach the limit of 38 °C.
