Real Madrid announce signing of midfielder Bernardo Silva on a two-year contract

O Real Madrid announced, this Wednesday (17), the signing of Portuguese midfielder Bernardo Silva. The 31-year-old signed a contract two seasonsvalid until June 30, 2028, after ending his contract with Manchester City at the end of the last European season.

“Real Madrid CF and Bernardo Silva have reached an agreement for him to become a Real Madrid player for the next two seasons,” the club said in an official statement.

Bernardo Silva, who has 109 caps for Portugal, is currently focused on competing in his third World Cup. The midfielder is in the squad that debuts in the competition this Wednesday, in Houston, against the Democratic Republic of Congo, in a game valid for Group K.

For Manchester City, the club he has defended since 2017 after leaving Monaco, the athlete played 459 games and scored 76 goals.
