World Cup: follow Austria and Jordan live

Austria and Jordan debut this Wednesday (16) in the 2026 World Cup. The teams, which belong to Group J, include Argentina and Algeria. The match is scheduled to take place at 1 am at Levi’s Stadium, located in Santa Clara, California, in the United States.

Austria returns to compete in the World Cup after being absent since 1998, when it last participated in the tournament. The Austrians are looking to surpass the 1954 campaign, when they finished the competition in 3rd place. This is the Central European Team’s eighth participation in the tournament.

Jordan makes its debut in the competition. It took nine attempts until the achievement finally arrived after 40 years since their first qualifying match. In 2014, Jordan came close to qualifying, went to the repechage, but ended up being eliminated by Uruguay.
