The Brazilian team’s shirt has the symbol of former basketball player Michael Jordan (the famous “Jumpman”) due to a commercial strategy by Nike, which is the supplier of sporting equipment to the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF).
Jordan Brand, the player’s brand, which belongs to the Nike group, decided to use the Brazilian uniform as a showcase to expand its global presence in football.
Brazil became the first team in the world to display the star’s logo on Brazilian shirts. The uniform was revealed at an event in São Paulo with the presence of Ronaldinho Gaúcho.
On the blue shirt, the CBF crest is centered on the chest, while the Jordan logo, highlighted in yellow, was made on the right side, close to the shoulder. On the inside of the collar, there is a seal with a diamond and the expression “Vai Brasil!”.
