Striker Raphinha, 29, spoke this Tuesday (23) for the first time after leaving injured in the match against Haiti, last Friday (19).
“I will do everything in my power to recover and return as soon as possible,” he said in an Instagram post.
The post contains four photos of him playing for Brazil. The first of them shows the player celebrating his first goal for the national team, scored against Paraguay, in 2022, in a qualifying match that ended 4-0.
“I chose this photo [para ser colocada em] firstly because it reminds me where it all started”, the player also wrote.
The severity of the injury was not disclosed, and Raphinha was not cut from the World Cup, but is out of the match against Scotland, this Wednesday (24), at 7pm.
“The player will follow an intensive treatment protocol, accompanied by the Brazilian team’s medical team, aiming for his recovery and return to activities in the shortest possible time”, says a text released by the CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation) on Saturday (20).
Raphinha felt pain in the region during Brazil’s 3-0 victory over Haiti, on Friday (19), in Philadelphia, in the second round of the World Cup. He left the match in the first half, after 40 minutes, replaced by Rayan.
