The TAP Air Portugal crew in Caracas experienced moments of great distress during the strong earthquakes that hit the Venezuelan capital in the early hours of Thursday.
In videos recorded after the earthquakes, one of the crew shows the damage to the hotel room where she was staying, describing the panic experienced during the earthquake. “I was there on the sofa, everything hit me”, he says, while showing overturned furniture, scattered objects and debris on the floor.
Despite the scare and destruction recorded in the area where they were staying, all members of the crew managed to leave the place safely and take refuge in another area of the city.
