Ceremony is held in Ponta Porã, in the west of the state; works include installation of “fingers” at Campo Grande airport
The President of the Republic, (PT), participates in this 5th (June 25, 2026) delivery of renovations at 3 airports in Mato Grosso do Sul: Ponta Porã, Corumbá and Campo Grande. The ceremony takes place in Ponta Porã, on the border with Paraguay.
The investment is private, but was financed by the (National Bank for Economic and Social Development), funded with resources from tax payers. The most significant renovation was at Campo Grande airport, the state capital, with the construction of fingerstunnels that connect the departure lounge to the aircraft door.
The 3 airports are part of a total of 11 (including Congonhas, in São Paulo) that are receiving renovations from the concessionaire Aena Brasil, after the 7th Round of Airport Concessions promoted by Anac. The Minister of Ports and Airports, Tomé Franca, also participates in the event.
