In the late afternoon of this Wednesday (24), the former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro (PL) published two videos on her social networks exposing the disagreement between her and her stepson, pre-candidate for president Flávio Bolsonaro (PL).
In the post, the national president of PL Mulher, the female wing of the party, reported that she was disrespected by Flávio over a disagreement regarding the agreement between the PL to support the pre-candidate for the government of Ceará, Ciro Gomes (PSDB).
“He was very harsh, disrespectful and mistreated me on the phone and I hadn’t done anything to him. He said it would be better if I stay out of party decisions. Said that I had arrived yesterday and didn’t understand anything about politics. Faced with this humiliation, I told him everything was fine. I understood that he didn’t want my support or that it was insignificant and so I withdrew“, stated the former first lady.
. Although this week’s trigger has as its backdrop the conflicts over state platforms, the former president’s children and wife Jair Bolsonaro (PL) have an old history of disagreements exposed on social media and in the press.

September 2022: Michelle criticizes Jair Renan’s mother
On the eve of the 2022 elections, Balneário Camburiú councilor Jair Renan Bolsonaro (PL-SC) exchanged barbs with his stepmother about the candidacy of his mother, Ana Cristina Valle, Jair Bolsonaro’s ex-wife, who was running for state deputy under the name Cristina Bolsonaro. In a publication, Michelle stated at the time that her brother, Eduardo Torres, was the only candidate for the position supported by the family in Brasília and warned against “‘climbers’ who are trying to climb the ladder using our surname”.
In response, Renan came to his mother’s defense, claiming that she had helped the former president become president. “For this reason, my mother has the right to use my father’s surname, not out of vanity, but out of fact and right,” he wrote on social media.
October 2022: unfollow after defeat
After Jair Bolsonaro’s defeat in the second round of 2022 electionsboth the former first lady and the then defeated party stopped following each other on a social network. In a post, Michelle did not deny the fact and stated that another person manages the account.

At the time, the person managing Jair Bolsonaro’s social networks was Carlos, who left the post in April 2023.
July 2024: not with mine!
After the federal deputy Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG) published a photo of Jair Bolsonaro holding his daughter, Carlos Bolsonaro commented, charging his own father: “It’s cool for the guy to do that to his daughter and not mine!”
Michelle replied to her stepson in the same publication: “May God free and keep our Aurora from all envy and evil.”
November 2025: video embryo
The conflict between Michelle and Flávio Bolsonaro began at the end of 2025, when the former first lady criticized the alliance articulated by federal deputy André Fernandes (PL-CE), defending the pre-candidacy of Eduardo Girão (Novo).
“Men who make alliances with evil, understanding that we can no longer accept this, are enough. I’m not part of it, if my president supports another candidate it’s him, he doesn’t represent me, he doesn’t speak for me. I’m president, I have autonomy over my women’s movement, which has become the biggest in history, it’s up to us to give direction,” he said at the time.
The speech resonated and was responded to by both former federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP) and Flávio.
“It was unfair and disrespectful to what was done at the event. I’m not going to go into the merits of whether it was a good or bad agreement, it was a position defined by my father. André could not be criticized for obeying the leader”, wrote Eduardo on his social network.
March 2025: forgiveness and nothing more
Michelle and Carlos Bolsonaro also have a shaky relationship. During an interview given in March this year, she said that, although she has forgiven the former president’s son, she does not want to live with her stepson.
“We don’t talk to each other, but I was an intercessor for Carlos. But I respect him because Jair had two relationships and they didn’t work out. And he had that issue because I was younger, 27 years younger, and he didn’t like it very much. He has his genius, I have my genius. He has his truth, I have my truth. I don’t wish him any harm, but he’s a person I don’t want to live with. I don’t have any problems, what we had in the past I’ve already forgiven, My heart is clean about that,” he explained.
June 2026: video reignites conflict

Shortly after the video was published, Flávio Bolsonaro stated, during a live broadcast, that “nothing and no one” bothers him because the Brazilian team was playing this Wednesday.
The purpose of the video, according to the investigation, was to force Flávio to talk to Michelle in order to negotiate his entry into the presidential campaign. In the former first lady’s view, Flávio was always the less bellicose brother when compared to Eduardo and Carlos.
The day after publication, this Thursday (25), Flávio then apologized to Michelle, saying he wanted a “”.
