Valdemar and Damares try to make peace between Michelle and Flávio – 06/26/2026 – Politics

The president of , , and the senator (-DF) have preached caution and encouraged a conciliation between the former first lady (PL) and the senator (PL-RJ), pre-candidate for the Presidency.

Parliamentarians state that, with (PL) in prison, the president of the PL sees the former first lady as one of the party’s main political assets and knows that it is necessary to manage her stepson well.

The PL also needs Michelle to achieve the plan of making the largest bench in the Chamber of Deputies in this year’s elections — which would consequently give the party the largest share of party and electoral funds.

Michelle’s allies say that Flávio’s campaign and the party need to recognize the work done at the head of PL Mulher and make room for her to help put together the state tickets.

The former first lady affiliated women, attracted votes for mayors and councilors in the 2024 elections and structured the PL Mulher directories in the 27 units of the federation. On the eve of the general election, however, Michelle has seen , according to her allies.

The case is that of Fortaleza councilor Priscila Costa (PL). Michelle wants Priscila to be a candidate for the Senate, but the president of the PL in Ceará, federal deputy André Fernandes, says that she, Alcides Fernandes (PL).

In the videos, Michelle states that, according to the logic of the quota that reserves 30% of the electoral fund for female candidates, PL Mulher would have the right to nominate 17 candidates for the 54 senatorial vacancies that will be up for grabs this year.

Despite this, he nominated three: Priscila in Ceará, federal deputy Bia Kicis in the Federal District and federal deputy . “Three vacancies out of 17 that we could have, and to maintain these three. This is very exhausting,” he said.

Valdemar was in the United States watching the World Cup when Michelle published the videos in which she says that Flávio mistreated, humiliated her and implied that he did not want her to participate in his presidential campaign.

The PL president anticipated his return to Brazil so that, according to him, he could speak personally with the two before making any decision. When asked by the report about the fight between Flávio and Michelle, he said it was necessary to “be calm” at this moment.

After Michelle’s videos, Valdemar released a note in which he indirectly praised the duo, said that disagreements are part of plural environments and said he admired “the courage of those who defend what they believe.”

“Michelle and Flávio know our president Bolsonaro very well and know the great respect he has for individual convictions and thoughts, and this has become one of the most valuable principles of our party. It is this authenticity that connects us with the Brazilian people”, he said.

One of Michelle’s main friends, Damares also joined the leave-disso group. The senator promises to stand by the former first lady regardless of the outcome, but says she is willing to mediate the relationship and.

To try to reduce rejection among female voters, Flávio asked Damares to participate in a meeting, bring proposals and suggest the names of other women who, in her view, could help him.

In an attempt to react to Michelle’s videos, Flávio also publicly invited his stepmother to the meeting, but there has still been no response.

People close to Flávio claim that he tried to speak to Michelle by phone and text several times since January, but she repeatedly responded that she would do it in her own time. The last attempt took place on Wednesday (24) morning, hours before the videos.

The report questioned the former first lady’s press office about Flávio’s alleged telephone contacts, but there was no response. In the recordings, Michelle says that Flávio comes to her house every week and that, if he wanted to talk to her, he would have done so already.

This Friday (26), Flávio published a video of former Caixa president Daniella Marques (Republicans), who has participated in his pre-campaign, and wrote that “women will play a fundamental role in the reconstruction of Brazil”.

The former federal deputy (PL) continued the attacks on his stepmother. Eduardo shared a YouTuber’s video harshly criticizing the former first lady, as well as a message praising his brother for responding “with empathy and humility.”

Eduardo also published an excerpt from an interview with former federal deputy Alexandre Ramagem, a fugitive from justice, in which he says that Michelle wants to harm Flávio and is “throwing a tantrum because she wanted to be the candidate” for president.

According to what was released on the 10th, Lula (PT) has 39% of the votes in the first round and Flávio, 29%. Considering only the female electorate, however, the difference is even greater. Lula rises to 41% of the vote, while Flávio falls to 24%.
