Coach Jesse Marsch’s team defeated South Africa 1-0 (0-0) in Los Angeles on Monday. Stephen Eustaquio scored the decisive goal in stoppage time (92′). The World Cup co-host will now play in the round of 16 on Saturday (7 p.m.) in Houston against the winner of the duel Netherlands – Morocco.
