All 9 IPCA groups had high prices in March, shows IBGE

All nine groups that make up the National Consumer Price Index (IPCA) recorded high prices in Marchinformed the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).

The advances occurred in Housingwith an increase of 0.24%, a contribution of 0.04 percentage point to the IPCA of the month, Education (0.10%, impact of 0.01 pp), Food and Drinks (1.17%, impact of 0.25 pp), Transportation (0.46%, impact of 0.09 pp).

In addition to them, other sectors with discharge were that of Personal expenses (0.70%, impact of 0.07 pp), Health and personal care (0.43%, impact of 0.06 pp), Residency (0.13%, impact of 0.00 percentage point), Communication (0.24%, impact of 0.01 percentage point) and Clothing (0.59%, impact of 0.03 percentage point).

All 16 regions investigated by IBGE registered

The milder result was verified in Rio Branco and Brasilia, both up 0.27%, while the highest occurred in Curitiba and Porto Alegre, both with an increase of 0.76%.
