In the fire of a farm building in the village of Hostie in the district of Zlaté Moravce, 17 foals were killed. The fire in the area of the National Stud Topoľčianky broke out from hitherto undetected reasons in one of the stables on Tuesday 6 May in the afternoon.
The police received a criminal complaint in the case for suspicion of a crime of damaging a foreign matter, Confirmed for TASR spokeswoman of the Regional Directorate of the Police Force in Nitra Viktória Borloková.
The investigator of the causes of fires cited a technical failure for the electrical installation as a preliminary reason for the fire. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. In the stable there were 17 foals of breeds Slovak warm -blooded, shagya arab, Arabian thoroughbred and English thoroughbred, who belonged to the National Stud Topoľčianky.
