With the “Astronaut for A Day” initiative, young people from Austria, Luxembourg and Estonia have the chance to experience weightlessness for a short time on a parabolic flight. As part of a multi -stage selection process starting on Monday, 13 young people from Austria are sought as “Austronauts” or “Austronauten” and five reserve candidates, as the Infrastructure Ministry responsible for space issues announced.
