Brussels/Budapest-EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen asked the Hungarian authorities to lift the ban on Budapest Pride. “Our Union stands for equality and non -discrimination. These are our basic values that are anchored in our contracts,” she said. “I ask the Hungarian authorities to have Budapest Pride Pride without fear of criminal or administrative sanctions against the organizers or participants.”
