The stone structure of Carnac could have been the first megalithic in Europe

Some are kept for stone calendars, grave monuments or sanctuaries, but with many of these structures, their former function is still not quite open up: on the British islands, in Scandinavia, France, almost throughout Europe, down to southern Spain and North Africa, Dolmen, Stone Circles, Menhire and Megalithic monuments shape the landscape. Some of the buildings are estimated at over 6000 years.
