United States President Donald Trump again criticized Federal Reserve President Jerome Powell, for taking interest rates again. In an interview with reporters before embarking on the presidential plane on Sunday (13), Trump stated that Powell should resign his office and that his departure before the end of his term “would be a great thing.”
The Republican referred to the central banker for the nickname “too late”, alluding to the insistence of the Fed to maintain the basic rate unchanged. “It has been very bad for the country,” he said.
Trump also claimed to have obtained “tremendous success” in the American attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities at the end of last month.
The US president said he was “very disappointed” with Russian President Vladimir Putin for intensifying the offensive in Ukraine. The White House head also promised to send anti-aircraft defense missiles of the ME-104 Patriot to the Ukrainians, although it has not provided further details. “We will send very sophisticated equipment and they will pay 100% for everything,” he said.
